An activity to show that nylon has more strength than other fibres can be done by as follows
1.Take a stand attach a clamp to it .
2. Tie a thread of cotton to it .
3.hang weight on it .keep on increasing the weight
At some point you will find that the thread will break . repeat the same procedure with different fibres .
and note the weight in each case .
You will observe that the nylon will be able to bear maximum weight .
