# X,Y and Z are partners sharing profits and losses in the ratio 3:2:1. it was decided that in future Z will get 1/4th share in profit . calculate the new profit sharing ratio and sacrifise/gain of all the partners .

It was decided that Z will have a share of 1/4 in the firm

The remaining share i.e. 1 - 1/4 = 3/4 will be shared by the remaining partners in their old ratio i.e. 3:2

New Ratio:

$\mathrm{X}=\frac{3}{4}\times \frac{3}{5}=\frac{9}{20}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}\mathrm{Y}=\frac{3}{4}\times \frac{2}{5}=\frac{6}{20}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}\mathrm{Z}=\frac{1}{4}\times \frac{5}{5}=\frac{5}{20}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}\mathrm{New}\mathrm{Ratio}=9:6:5$
