You have two lenses L1and L2 of focal lengths + 30 cm and – 30cm respectively. If an object is placed at a distance of 20 cm from each lens, what will be the nature of the image formed by the two lenses?

L1 is having +30 cm of focal length hence lens is converging , when object is placed at 20 cm distance from it  which means object lies in between optical centre and focus of the lens, lens forms a virtual , erect and enlarged image of the object.

L2 is having -30 cm of focal length hence lens is diverging ,  when object is placed in front of the diverging lens , it always forms a virtual erect and diminished image of the object irrespective of the position of the object.
